Ciara
Concannon
began
creating
batik
clothing
in
the
late
1980's
in
Berkeley,
California.
Quickly
she
became
a
regular
on
the
Northern
California
festival
circuit,
where
her
wares
continued
to
improve
and
diversify.
T-shirts,
dresses,
kids'
clothes,
adult
t-shirts,
skirts
and
more
--
all
individually
prepared
and
dyed
with
Ciara's
original
"krinkle"
process.
In
1998
Ciara
moved
north
to
Seattle
and
incorporated
the
Pacific
Northwest
into
her
annual
cycle
of
arts
and
crafts
fairs
and
music
festivals.
Krinkly
Batiks
can
be
found
at
such
events
as
Seattle's
Fremont
Fair
and
Solstice
Parade,
Issaquah
Salmon
Days,
High
Sierra
Music
Festival,
Strawberry
Music
Festival,
and
Davis
Whole
Earth
Festival.
They
have
expanded
production
and
have
a
regular
retail
outlet
in
Seattle's
unique
Pike
Place
Market
and
you
will
likely
find
them
at
your
favorite
festival
or
music
event.
Every
Krinkly
Batik
is
individually
hand
crafted.
