Ciara
Concannon
began
creating
batik
clothing
in
the
late
1980's
in
Berkeley,
California.
Quickly
she
became
a
regular
on
the
Northern
California
festival
circuit,
where
her
wares
continued
to
improve
and
diversify. In
1998
Ciara
moved
north
to
Seattle
and
incorporated
the
Pacific
Northwest
into
her circuit of
arts & crafts
fairs
and
music
festivals.
Krinkly
Batiks
can
be
found
at
such
events
as
Seattle's
Fremont
Fair
and
Solstice
Parade,
Issaquah
Salmon
Days,
High
Sierra
Music
Festival,
Strawberry
Music
Festival,
and
Davis
Whole
Earth
Festival.
What once started just as t-shirts, has expanded into kids' clothes, dresses, yoga wear and more. Each Krinkly batik is individually prepared and dyed with Ciara's original "krinkle" process. Every season Ciara unveils a new krinkly design, delighting her loyal customer base and winning over new fans.
